VRŠOVICE RAIL TRAIL
What will soon become the largest pedestrian space in Prague will be just around the corner from your home. Over the coming years, the Vršovice Promenade will be created on the former railway line running between Prague and Benešov. This car-free green corridor for walkers, cyclists, and inline skaters will connect Vršovice with neighbourhoods to the east and south-east – Zahradní Město and Strašnice – and link up with a wider network of cycling routes across the city. Alongside a new way to move around without a car, the project will also introduce another generous public green space.
An area coming to life
Several new and exciting developments are taking shape in the immediate vicinity of Connect Vršovice, making Vršovice an even more appealing place to live.

The planned rail trail will be an enjoyable place for walkers and cyclists while also connecting Prague–Eden with Vršovice train station – making two modern railway stations within easy walking distance.

The former Koh-i-Noor factory will be redeveloped into a residential complex with some 600 flats alongside extensive space for shops and services, increasing the area’s civic amenities. Another residential development is planned for the former offices across from Connect Vršovice. Together, these projects will give rise to an entirely new, modern neighbourhood.

The railway line between Vršovice and Hostivař has recently been extensively modernised, creating a brand-new corridor that significantly reduces travel times.
